Diamond was wandering through the Dusk Kingdom's forests. Not knowing where she was though. Diamond felt cold and dark, but thought she was in the Ivory Kingdom. Diamond wandered around, scared, but committed to get back to the Ice Caves.
She had gotten lost in search of her cave. Diamond kept looking around with caution, nothing dangerous to her yet. She then looked up at the sky it was dark, and stormy.

Steele was walking through the Kingdom, his kingdom now he thought to himself with a sigh and a touch of loss, when he noticed a scent out of place. He tilted his head slightly and took a deeper breathe. With a nod of his head he was positive that it didnt belong to one of the canines he was use to. He cast a weary eye towards the sky as headed towards the scent. Perhaps the lands would get some much needed rain. Well one could hope anyways.
As the small white canine came into view he became certain that his first impression had been correct, this was a light canine or at the very least one with no allegiance. The old Steele came forward and he gave a giggle as he thought about teasing this little creature, perhaps try to scare her and "teach" her that his lands were to be respected. But then again he had never been one to play jokes on the downtrodden and he wouldnt stoop to that level now. His victims tended to be the innocent prey of the area and the apprentice warriors of the pack. Finally as a leader he had to be fair or he would never get the respect of the others. So Steele gave a howl of greeting and approached the white female.
"Greetings young one." he said in an almost flat tone that sounded almost pompous coming from him though a smile was o his muzzle. "You seem to be out of your element." okay so that was a weak attempt at a joke but he hoped it would break the ice. Well not literally of course...another joke.

hehe. i'm the admin and i'm breaking most rules! jk. i might change it if it gets too bad but for now, since there aren't that many people, i'll keep it at that. i'm not gonna join this one though.... have fun!

Diamond looked at the strange creature and said " I'm Diamond, and yes, I'm trying to find the Ice Caves...." She began shaking out of coldness and fear and added " Who are you? "
After she said that she stood up straight and with caution. Diamond never trusted anyone out of her own territory. She looked at a big sign next to her, it read (Your in the Dusk Kingdom!) She gasped and said " I'm in the Dusk Kingdom? " A gang of wolves killed her family, she didn't know if there were any survivors.
Diamond crouched down a bit, ready to fight if necessary. She growled to tell the wolf who called himself Steele, and growled again. Her growls were small and weak though, as she was very small, just a pup, and didn't growl too much. She usually just ran away from a fight or talking to a strange wolf or fox.

Steele couldn't help but snicker at the display put on by the fox. He had to admit that he was even glad he hadn't pulled any tricks on the female as, well, she didn't seem like the kind that would benefit from its lessons. Part of him told him to simply turn and walk away from the one he now knew as Diamond. After all she wasn't of his Kingdom and certainly didn't act as if she wanted his help now with the growling. He took a few steps back and turned himself to wards his den. Let the little one find her way and he could go to try and get rid of the slowly pounding head. Mental stress mixed with physical exhaustion had turned his mood slightly and he wasn't about to play nursemaid to a bratty pup with no manners.
Yet after only a couple of steps he gazed up at a nearby tree that towered over him. It's intimidating size seemed to taunt Steele when he actually paid attention to it and stopped focusing on his own issues. With a sigh he turned back to Diamond and laid down to show he meant her no harm. Thankfully for him the other pack members had already sought shelter from the approaching storm and as such weren't around to give their own opinions toward a lost ice white fox.
"You are indeed in Dusk Kingdom Diamond and I King Steele welcome you to it." Perhaps her lack of respect had simply been out of not knowing who he was he thought. Mentally he smacked himself for already thinking so preposterously. "I have never been to Ice Caves but would happily try to get you there. Yet with the storm coming you may want to shelter yourself in one of these caves. It will most likely only be a small downpour so you wont have long to wait." he sighed and glanced around him at the flora already beginning to show signs of dehydration. "Would be nice to get more rain but I suppose we will have to take what we can get."

Diamond calmed down and said " Alright, and thanks. " She then stated approaching the wolf who was apparently Steele. She sat next to him and waited to follow, eager to get back to her home and rest. She then said " Wait, how many King's are there in this Kingdom? I know of King Thorin but no King Steele. " She began nibbling at the ground, looking for some food, waiting for an answer.

It was strange to see the difference in the two canines' sizes when they got close to each other. Steele never considered himself a large wolf by any standards even without his birth defects. So he couldn't help but laugh at the imagery in his head as he turned back towards his den. Perhaps he might have something for Diamond to nibble on that might be a bit tastier than grass. Hadn't there been a little left over jack rabbit from the hunt just a night before? As the first few raindrops made their entrance Steele began walking towards his den, figuring the other would follow. If the rain got too bad he would offer to carry the fox though he hoped it wouldn't come to that as it might be seen as rude to the other canine and as some sort of weakness to any of the other "Duskers" nearby.
"There is only one King in our Kingdom as there is only one Queen in yours. The former King has joined the ancestors only recently and left me as his heir." he sighed and thought he might have heard a mocking growl from somewhere a few feet off at last words and Steele couldn't help to glare at the surrounding area. Up ahead the sound of receding paw steps could be heard running off and Steele returned his attention back to escorting the fox to his den.

Diamond nodded and kept on following Steele. She saw the den and kept walking beside him. She then said " Thank you... " and kept on following. Her coat began to grow dimmer because of being in an unfamiliar place, a dark please with a wolf that she didn't know, and because of the storm.

The rain was beginning to pick up in earnest when the two of them reached Steele's den. There was a large fallen tree across the entrance to a deep and dry cave. Steele jumped over the tree before turning around to motion Diamond to crawl under the tree. It wasnt often there was a small size canine came into the area so that part of the entrance wasnt used usually. Casually he moved back to allow the white fox to enter comfortably.
Once she was in he laid down in the corner of his den and began licking himself dry. Sure enough there was about a half eaten jack rabbit in the middle of the den.
"The rain should be over shortly and we will get you home then. For now help yourself to something to eat." he grinned and motioned towards the carcass before going back to cleaning himself.

Diamond slipped right under the tree and ran right into the den. She shook the water off of her and sat down by the food. She looked up at Steele and said " Thank you... " and began nibbling on the food. It tasted very good with the famine going on now. She was at her thinnest form yet. She ate the entire thing, sat back down and said " Thanks...for everything. " She then curled in a ball and lay down.

Steele grinned as he finished his preening before standing up once more and giving a long stretch. Outside he thought he could hear voices in the rain but maybe it had simply been the thunder crashing. With any luck this rain would give them a couple more moons but only time would tell. Already his "loyal" subjects were beginning to grumble about his leadership skills and one or two of the more crazy ones were even blaming him for the famine. He walked around Diamond and moved towards the opening of the cave. He was sure he heard voices and tried to hear exactly what they were saying. Unfortunately just as he was about to see who was out there a large strike of lightning hit nearby and scattered the wolves.
"Just my luck." he sighed under his breathe before looking to the sky. It looked like it would be stopping soon but maybe he could pass the time and learn more about the Kingdom's neighbors. He turned his attention to Diamond to see if she was asleep. After a moment of thought he remembered he was suppose to meet with the Queen and others of the area. He figured that once Diamond was ready she would follow his scent to the meeting, after that the Queen could lead her to the Ice Caves.

Diamond woke up and noticed that Steele was gone. She barely had his scent but tried to follow it. She was scared, still, and tried to follow the scent. She saw the bridge with Queen Ruri and King Steele at The Bridge. She ran over to them and joined the meeting.
