She stumbled around blindly. She had her tail hitting objects that she passed so she could figure out what they were. She was only a year old and she was as miserable as could be. She was mute, blind, and miserable. God. What kind of life was that? She took a deep breath and she continued along. She knew where she was by the scent; the Shadow Lair. She hoped she didn't stumble upon anything that she didn't want to fool around with at all. She stuck her nose to the ground to see if anything dead that was abandoned was near by, she had to eat something, nothing at the moment, sadly. She sighed and heaved in a deep breath and let it out.
She was so pitiful! She should have learned how to do things blind but she was lacking the self-confidence she needed to do so, but she was still young. All she knew how to do blind was fish, barely, and walk. It wasn't too hard but it was a bit of a problem. She didn't bother to express herself in words like some did by speaking to themselves, she might let something slip to someone if she started now, she didn't even bother to think.
She let her tounge loll out of her mouth as she walk. She didn't care if she scared anything, she would never be able to kill it. She soon stopped once she felt a patch of grass with her tell. She manevured herself to where she was soon laying inside of the patch of grass. She was unseen and it made her feel comfortable and safe at the moment. She sighed once more and laid her head on her paws. She felt oh so different at the moment, and it wasn't a good feeling either. She had an empty space- wait. Her whoe heart was no empty, it had been full with Smoothie and Pirate, but they were gone now, now and forever. Was life even worth living at the moment?
She was too different to be exact, well, that was her. She heaved a great sigh once more. She put her tounge back in her mouth, she didn't feel like panting anymore. At the moment, she wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep forever. Never ever wake up, ever again. She could just sleep through life and not have to care about seeing anything, she could have her dreams to see things that she never saw. But she never did have dreams, since she didn't know what anything looked like.
Was there anyone out there who understood her at the moment? Was there? Could there be? Unlikely. She hadn't met anyone, and she asked Smoothie every night before she went to bed, wherever Smoothie was, if she would bring someone along to help her out of her predicament. She would not cry about Smoothie right now, she was too big for that, she just needed to be strong for her, though Duffy had a weak heart, she was too weak to be true. Weak in strength and her heart. She wasn't that smart, so weak in the mind too.
Okay, put it this way; Duffy's life sucked. It was just a terrible life to live at the moment. She heaved another sigh and a nice big breath that was heavy and loud. She then closed her eyes wanting to go to sleep, but she had too much on her mind to go to sleep. She opened her eyes and saw nothing. She scented many things and heard them, but she wasn;t that curious about them to go check them out. She felt a grass stalk move against her side which made her snap at it, thinking it was something else, she was just being careful about things like that. She didn't want to end up dead at the moment, she just wanted to figure out the world, then be dead.
